- The US government already squanders many, many billions of dollars a year in
- farm subsidies. I see no reason why I should subsidize farmers in yet another
- manner. Nor do I see any reason why I should subsidize rich yuppie DINKs who
- think they are getting closer to nature, burn many gallons of fuel every day

- It's very easy to argue for "entitlements", like cheap phone service miles
- from the nearest town. People are free to make that kind of lifestyle choice,
- but they shouldn't try to convince me it's somehow in my best interest to
