- Generally, you can use the same modem for any computer. The difference in
- the packages is usually only software and maybe labels on the modem boxes. :)
- Of course, this only applies to external modems as all the different platforms
- have different types of bus/expansion slots. Also a lot of "Mac" modems have
- the correct cable included as well. Unless the manufacturer has built in the
- Mac interface (din 8 plug) into the modem (very unlikely), the modem is
- completely portable. I have used the same modem on a PC, Mac and Amiga with
- no problems at all.
