- I have the following problem, which I hope someone can suggest a
- solution.

- Configuration: We have a dial-back system with a set of rack-mounted
- TB2500's. We have modems constantly using the system (or should I say,
- being dialed by the system) and it all works except when the user is
- another TB2500, T1600's and generic 2400bps modems work.

- Due to the way our dialback system works, both modems get ringed and
- are expected to pick up the phone and "answer". This means that the
- dialback modem must "answer" with the originate tones. In other words,
- the dialback system dials the user's phone, at the same time it fakes a
- ringing signal on the dialback modem's phone line. Both modems think
- they are sensing a ringing phone and answer the phone, but one is in
- answer mode and one is in "s100=1" mode (answer the phone with
- originate tones) so they should be able to connect.

- As I said, we have no problem with T1600's or 2400bps modems connecting
- to the system. It's just T2500's dialing in.
