  25. We only have one of the units but the exact same thing happened. At the
  26. time we thought it got wiped out by the environment it was operating
  27. in.

  29. The unit was in our D -- Dirty -- building, about 50 feet from our coke
  30. oven. I opened the unit up to see if I could determine why it was
  31. failing and found 1/4" of coal dust inside!

  33. In our case, we really didn't need a "multiport" repeater, just a plain
  34. old repeater would do. I found a couple of old DEC DEREP's in storage
  35. and put one them in place of the MR9000. The MR9000, after the $250
  36. repair,  now sits on my bookshelf as a backup unit to my DEC DEMPR's.
