- We only have one of the units but the exact same thing happened. At the
- time we thought it got wiped out by the environment it was operating
- in.

- The unit was in our D -- Dirty -- building, about 50 feet from our coke
- oven. I opened the unit up to see if I could determine why it was
- failing and found 1/4" of coal dust inside!

- In our case, we really didn't need a "multiport" repeater, just a plain
- old repeater would do. I found a couple of old DEC DEREP's in storage
- and put one them in place of the MR9000. The MR9000, after the $250
- repair, now sits on my bookshelf as a backup unit to my DEC DEMPR's.
