  14. I'm a PCB designer for Alcatel, and I need to implement an Ethernet/
  15. Cheapernet interface on a board.  I'm planning to use National
  16. Semiconductor's DP83932B (Systems-Oriented Network Interface Controller)
  17. and DP8392C-1 (Coaxial Transceiver Interface, second-sourced by Fujitsu
  18. and Signetics/Philips).  I've looked at other vendors, like AT&T, NEC,
  19. and Intel.  However, we compete against AT&T and NEC in the telecom
  20. market, and I distrust Intel after that fiasco with their 4-Mbit and 
  21. 8-Mbit Flash memories.

  23. So, does anyone out there have experience with National's parts?  Any
  24. comments, criticism, or suggestions?  On the same board, I also plan to
  25. use isolation transformers and filters from Pulse Engineering (PE-65727
  26. and PE-65442) and a +5V/-9V DC/DC converter from either Reliability
  27. (2VP5U9 or 2VI5U9) or KSL Microdevices (05M09).  Does anyone have any
  28. comments about those vendors?
