- The original charter for this group DOES consider the posting
- of product announcements to be a legitimate topic of discussion.
- Though of course the charter is not set in stone, I think that
- we should use it as a guide until a motion is given, and vote is
- taken to change it. I include an excerpt from the charter here:

- My impression is that product announcements have not been a
- problem thus far in this group. I think that the reason for this
- is that cell-relay-based products represent an emerging--and thus
- relatively small--market. When it gets to the point that the
- everyone and their brother makes an ATM switch (or chip set), THEN
- postings of this nature may become a nuisance. For now, I for one
- welcome the information.
