  22. A new feature of Informix 5.0 is a utility that will give you text about
  23. errors.  Here's what it has to say about -24:

  25.     /tmp [335] finderr 24
  26.     -24     Too many open files.
  27.  
  28.     An operating system error code with the meaning shown was unexpectedly
  29.     returned to the database server. This error probably reflects a limit 
  30.     configured in your operating system. Look for operating system error 
  31.     messages that may give more information.
