  16. MENLO PARK, Calif. (August 12, 1992)   Continuing its expanding sales and
  17. support in the Mexican marketplace, Informix Software Inc. (NASDAQ:INFX) has
  18. announced the recent opening of its newest office in Mexico City, Mexico. The
  19. new office will enhance InformixUs sales and technical services to its customers
  20. in Mexico and to its four authorized distributors:  MPS Mayorista S.A.; Triple I
  21. Sistemas del Informacion, S.A.; Genesistemas, S.A.; and Multisistemas S.A.

  23. "With the upsurge of Informix business in Mexico and Latin America, it is
  24. essential we provide better support to our customers and distributors," said
  25. Phil White, CEO and president of Informix. "By providing a direct local
  26. presence, we will ensure continued success to our end-user customer base. This

  28. Latin American marketplace."

  31. variety of industries in Mexico and to such customers as Comision Federal de
  32. Electricidad (CFE), Ferrocarriles Nacionalies de Mexico, Instituto de Seguridad
  33. y Servicios Socales de los Trobajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), Nacional Monte de
  34. Piedad, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), Seguridad Nacional, Technologico de
  35. Monterrey and Telefonos de Mexico (TELMEX).
