- Hello,
- I need some advice on the relative virtues of Informix vs Oracle vs Progress.
- I will be developing a database application for a large law firm.
- The application will do report generation for the most part. It will need to
- have a client/server architecture with a Unix host (the hardware is not
- set but will probably be Intel based). My experience has been with PC/Mac
- databases and I am not familiar with the offerings under Unix. I would
- appreciate hearing from anybody who has an opinion on the relative strengths
- and weaknesses of these three databases and/or your own favorite. Also any
- information on articles that compare these products would be greatly
- appreciated.

- Please send e-mail to kermisch@bbn.com.

- Thank you,
- Ron Kermisch
