  13. Hi out there.
  14. I am currently working on an mpeg decoder and am coming across the 
  15. inevitable snags. I was wondering whether or not there are a lot of
  16. other people doing this kind of work (i.e. mpeg decoders) and if
  17. there was any interest in starting comp.compression.mpeg or perhaps
  18. an e-mail list so that we could share our problems, sources, and 
  19. solutions.

  21. Also, although the XING mpeg files have been helpful, are there any
  22. sources of data that more strictly adheres to the standard?
  23.  
  24. Finally, does anyone have any suggestions on efficient methods of 
  25. choosing an RGB colorspace that will facilitate conversion from
  26. the compressed YCrCb data? Or even the proper matrix to use for
  27. straight MPEG YCrCb -> RGB conversion?
