- There is often very much common information between channels of a stereo
- pair. Much of one image can often be generated by shifting and distorting
- the other image. Even the extreme cases you often find in holograms with
- views through magnifying glasses, etc could be handled if both images were
- generated as distortions of a third image.

- Has anyone done this sort of thing? I have no particular interest in
- stereo pairs, but some in the generation and storing of distortions and
- mappings of images. If I generate some sort of file format for these
- things I would like it to cater for all possibilities.
