- I just downloaded a frame grab of the watch they found in the cave
- under San Fran in Time's Arrow. I think it says:
-
- To S.L.C.
- With Love
- 30 November
- 1889
-
- I believe that Mark Twain's full name was Samuel Longhorn Clemens, and
- Data was transported back to the 1890s. Mark Twain also looked at his
- pocket watch several times during the show. This would lead me to conclude
- that the watch they found in the 24th century under San Francisco belonged
- to Mark Twain.
-
- Whether this is significant or not is another story.
-
- The frame grab is available as a gif via ftp on vab02.larc.nasa.gov
- in the /gifs/misc/startrek directory. The file name is "sttng503.gif".
