- Mr. Lott,
- I don't know of any utilities to convert LOTUS spreadsheets on a
- mainframe.
-
- You could use PC SAS and the database PROC, the exact name of which
- scapes me at the moment and I'm not in my office. It's something
- like PROC DB3.
-
- If you dont' have PC SAS, then you use DBMSCOPY PLUS. It can
- convert LOTUS spreadsheet files into SAS transport files, then you
- upload those files (in binary mode) to the mainframe and import them
- into SAS. If you don't have DBMSCOPY, it's available from SPSS, Inc.
- in Chicago. You can call them at 312-329-3500. (Standard
- disclaimer's apply: I'm not employed by SPSS, don't get a commission,
- etc....just have use this product and found it useful.)
-
- If you need more details or hit a snag, e-mail me and I'll try to
- help, I've done this conversion several times. If you need more help,
- be sure to include kind of computer, operating system, and version
- of SAS you're using. For example, IBM3090/400E running VM/XA 1.1, CMS
- 8.0, using SAS 6.07
-
- Good Luck,
- Tim
