- Subject: SAS/DOS in RISC6000?

- Hi,
- I'm using an IBM PS2/70 16Mhz to run my DOS version of SAS. For my
- files (roughly 2.5-6.0 MEGS), my machine is too slow. I've been talking
- with PC vendors about their 486 50Mhz machines. Now someone has suggested
- I purchase an IBM RISC6000 and run my DOS version of SAS in its DOS
- window. This will supposedly be a faster way to run SAS than on a 486
- 50Mhz machine. Like most other colleges, we're broke. I can't purchase
- another version of SAS. The one I've got is from our university site
- license and only the DOS version is available.
- If anyone has experience running SAS under the RISC6000 machine's
- DOS window, I'd like to hear about it.
- Thanks, in advance, for any comments.
