- 1. Variable naming is not trivial. Much discussion in computer
- science involves proper names for things (i.e., Hungarian naming
- rules). Do you name all your variables X1-X100? Not if you are
- a sensible person.
- 2. Correct rules, followed properly, result in improved code. I contend
- that a good rule about a name results in better code. Feel free to
- disagree, but it does belong on SAS-L.
- 3. The use of correct names will help in the understanding of macros.
- This certainly again is a relevant topic.
