  13. Tom, we noticed that right away when we first came up.  Under 4.6, the
  14. location and call number displayed without any circ status info, and our
  15. staff didn't like that, so circ staff added a note to the copy holdings
  16. statement at the time we marked the item record "withdrawn."  This caused
  17. the message "lost" or "withdrawn" to display in place of the circ status
  18. message.

  20. Now in 5.0.2, it appears that the circ status message is not affected, but
  21. the term "lost" or "withdrawn" displays following the location!  This is
  22. quite confusing, and we haven't come up with a solution.  But adding a note
  23. in the copy holdings statement at least provides a means of identifying for
  24. staff those copies which we know are gone.

  26. The Z is done later by tech services staff, usually 12 months later in the
  27. case of a 'lost' book, and sooner for withdrawn.
