- Tom, we noticed that right away when we first came up. Under 4.6, the
- location and call number displayed without any circ status info, and our
- staff didn't like that, so circ staff added a note to the copy holdings
- statement at the time we marked the item record "withdrawn." This caused
- the message "lost" or "withdrawn" to display in place of the circ status
- message.
-
- Now in 5.0.2, it appears that the circ status message is not affected, but
- the term "lost" or "withdrawn" displays following the location! This is
- quite confusing, and we haven't come up with a solution. But adding a note
- in the copy holdings statement at least provides a means of identifying for
- staff those copies which we know are gone.
-
- The Z is done later by tech services staff, usually 12 months later in the
- case of a 'lost' book, and sooner for withdrawn.
