- I have been keeping a so-called "screen-snapshot" file created
- whenever a hit a hot-key in Pro-Comm, my comm package, and each
- screen gets appended to a file named pcplus.scr. Something
- weird has happened: when i call it up --both in NB and in
- the DOS 5 editor, BTW--the file ends abruptly; the memory
- count given by NB is 64K, which perhaps is significant.
-
- However, the file by now is _much_ bigger (I've been kind of
- appending and forgetting about it for over a year, but now
- I need to collate the stuff), and all the data
- is there, because it is viewable in buerg's LIST utility,
- and I have gone so far as to do a hex mode thingie on it
- to see if there was a rogue end-of-file marker just where
- NB stops display. I didn't see anything that looks like it, but in any
- event, this is approaching the outer-limits of my knowledge
- of such things. I dont even know how to clip the file up,
- and even _get_ at the data, and do anything besides
- cast baleful looks at it by shelling out to DOS.
-
- Any advice?
