- Hi!
-
- And thanks for the friendly comment....
-
- I don't know what apple crisp is, and I'm still waiting to be told.
- Apple crumble is similar to the recipe which appeared yesterday. It's
- basically the same dish with local names. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
-
- I'm not an ornithologist - I just love the English blackbirds in
- spring. They sit on prominent points, and sing like they are under a
- government contract....
-
- But owls are lovely. We have them in our valley - in our orchard,
- actually. Last night I went out and a fox was barking close by.
- Chilling sound, but I like it - fox hunting is one the English's less
- agreeable customs.
-
- And I tell you what - last week, late one night, I saw a young badger
- in our orchard... nearly 25 years living there, and never seen before!
- I was so happy to see it. I'ver never seen a wild badger, and I was
- close enough to be able to swear that that's what it was - it was
- certainly NOT one of my cats.
-
- Cheers!
