- I have got this problem too; it occurred after I upgraded about three
- weeks ago 3.0 to 3.1 by replacing dict.spl with an English version
- instead of the American one. I used the supplied NB disks for the
- purpose; these seem to re-write various system files including
- keyboard and printer drivers. I also had a keyboard problem
- thereafter: Ctrl+Shift+Scroll Lock caused the most complete lockup
- imaginable because not even Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Esc allowed a re-boot: but
- Ctrl+Alt+Del within NB did - which ought to have been impossible.
-
- I solved that by taking over bits of the old .kbd file, but I don't
- know what other damage has been done.
-
- The spelling checker problem Ian Jarvie describes is worrying; those
- of us who will not be able to get 4.0. May I reinforce his query? I
- asked about this a week or two ago also.... Our guru here (who will
- read this and Who Knows Everything) says that the answer lies deep in
- a phenomenon called Life and is thus unknowable to all but the Sacred
- Dragonfly.
