- So the EC is not only attacking German beer but English apples as
- well. What are you people up to over there? On our side the latest
- is an attempt to drown out Canadian beer with a flood of (God forbid!)
- Budweiser and Coors. Not that Labatt and Molson have been producing
- much that's drinkable lately, but we do have some good local breweries
- that may well go under. And George Bush gets all worked up because some
- of us think that real beer is more important than "free trade."
-
- Sorry if this is too political, but some things in life--like writing
- with Nota Bene and old apples and real beer--are pretty important.
- That's one good thing about this list: we are all really anarchists at
- heart, resisting standardization (except on our terms, of course).
