- Mervyn,
- I've been afraid to try "i I" in my spelling dictionary for fear that I would
- someday use lower case roman numerals--actually typed, rather than with counters
- --and have all the i's changed to I's. Generally, ever since I started using
- the automatic replacement feature I have just been careful to keep autocorrect
- on all the time, so that I don't ever have to run the spell checker on a file--
- it's too scary to hear those little clicks as the file zooms by in the window,
- too fast for me to see what is happening.
- Of course, since ibid. turns off the autocorrect mode every time I invoke it,
- this is not a perfect solution. Is there a program out there to deal with
- this?
- ----
- Your statement about apples and the EC horrifies me. Here in the US there
- is a movement to revive and grow the old varieties. I got my summer rambos,
- (no, they have nothing to do with Sylvester Stallone) from a nursery that
- specializes in these. I also has a spitzenburg--"Thomas Jefferson's favorite",
- they claimed, but it succumbed to hurricane Gloria, which dropped a large maple
- on top of it.
