  40. Congratulations, Harry.  I also once spent a week, maybe more, trying
  41. to get italic characters for the transliterations sets under SLS,
  42. since, it should have been obvious, if you have a non-Roman language
  43. in transliteration, then it's probably "foreign," and almost every
  44. style manual will want that "foreign" word in italics.  Lack of italic
  45. support was just one of SLS's brain-dead features.  Alas, I never
  46. quite got my revised printer drivers to work with HP II, so I finally
  47. gave up in discouragement.  Awaited Lingua for another 2 - 2.5 years,
  48. shifted to PostScript printing environment, and now hear that the
  49. Lingua to be released will not support PostScript.

  51. So, Harry, please send me what you have: I may yet be forced back to
  52. tinkering with the HP in order to get proper printout of Greek, Hebrew
  53. and the transliteration characters.  I may also be forced to buy
  54. an HP Laser printer unless I can trick an aging PostScript printer
  55. into emulating an HP (sans special HP font cartridges that would
  56. hardly work in an older Apple LaserWriter).

  59. or in Lingua-Beta), please contact me.
