  14. Eric:  Like everyone else right now, I'm probably engaged in a mind shift
  15. from the esoterica of summer to the practicalities of the fall syllabus;
  16. hence the obsessive dialogue (multilogue?) about students, their needs,
  17. their desires, their resistances...Michael Joyce/Robert Coover's request
  18. fell into that widening pool of panic I was/am feeling (help!  I'm not
  19. ready for the fall!!!); it caused a ripple of response in my mind bu  I
  20. wasn't able to let it do much more.  Nevertheless, I don't want to lose
  21. that thrill of interest I felt earlier in the summer over Coover's article,
  22. and my modem is now hooked up at home--I'm game to try IRC, especially if
  23. you circulate those instructions for hookup that you had going earlier.
