  13. We run the archive jobs three times/day mainly because MVS owns all the
  14. tape drives and operations has enough to do without having to attach
  15. and mount VM tapes during the day.  This seems to work out fine.
  16. Since archiving is used primarily by researchers who create LARGE
  17. files, we only allow disk to tape (offline) archiving.  We prefer
  18. that these files not go through the VM spool.
