- David Ehresman asked how I knew that the CD-ROM I received did not have
- Bookmanager/Read on it. I took it to a PC with a CD-ROM drive, mounted it, and
- did a DIR command. There were no executables only a README file and the
- manuals themselves. Neither the README file or the documentation said anything
- about a read program on the disk.
-
- This was for DF/DSS 2.5 which was released a while ago. I assume that the
- CD-ROM was cut before this new policy. I have been very frustarated with the
- whole process. Unless you are on the latest and greatest software the CD-ROM
- manuals are not available. You have to explicitely specify the feature code
- if you can find it. It won't do me anygood until we move to ESA. If anybody
- form IBM out there is listening how about a CD-ROM for XA.
