- Our IBM sales rep mentioned something called Bookmaker which supposedly
- provides access to CD-ROM based manuals from VM/XA CMS systems, but she was a
- bit evasive on this topic. What is bookmaker? Distributing IBM software and
- documentation via CD-ROM makes a lot of sense. It would save IBM lots of
- time and effort and money since a single CD-ROM can easily hold at least one
- software package and the full set of documentation. Having the software and
- full documentation distributed via CD-ROM also has many advantages for IBM's
- clients, espcially those of us who frequently read IBM's manuals. I am
- primarily interested in documentation since I do not do software
- installation, but I can also easily see the advantages this would have for
- systems folks too. If you know of any way to get IBM docs and/or software on
- CD-ROM, please let me know.
