- We have a pool of v.22 bis modems connected to our 7171. Some of our
- users are using newer modems with v.42 features. Our problem is that
- once the modems have connected the newer modem tries to do some type
- of handshaking for the v.42 functions. Because the older modems are
- directly connected to the 7171 they pass on these handshaking bits to
- the 7171. The 7171 does not like this and locks up this port. Is
- there a control character(s) that the remote user can type in to
- free the port or are they SOL at this point. Thanks.
