- The fear that meaning is shifting back and forth, like those optical iperceptual
- demonstrations where you saw a vase, or you saw the old crone, or you saw one
- and then the other, this oscillation between a comfortable station in
- normal reality, the house of common sense and utilitarian marine, and that
- other world where every word points at you, or might,but no--correlates
- fairly well with at least some aspects of RAW's remarks about belief systems,
- though this is not, I'll grant, the result of careful study. Middle Road.
