  50. INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE CSLG PARTNER PROGRAM

  52. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
  53.  
  54. The CSLG Partner Program, a program that helps educational institutions
  55. purchase site licenses for third-party applications at a reduced annual
  56. fee, has been expanded to include DECwrite and DECpresent. Effective
  57. January 1992 the DECwrite Campuswide License will be available through the
  58. CSLG Partner Program at $600.  This license will support VAX, Digital RISC,
  59. PC, and SUN systems.  The DECpresent Campuswide License will be available
  60. through the CSLG Partner Program at $500.  This license will support VAX,
  61. Digital RISC, and SUN systems.

  63. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
  64.  
  65. DECwrite V2 is Digital's premier document processing application. It allows
  66. Motif and MS-Windows users to create and format documents containing text,
  67. graphics, images, equations, and spreadsheets. Through Digital's CDA
  68. architecture for compound documents and Network Applications Support (NAS),
  69. DECwrite users can share documents across SUN OS, DOS, ULTRIX RISC and VMS
  70. operating systems.

  72. DECpresent V1.5 is the first color graphics presentation application for
  73. workstations and the first presentation package for the SUN SPARCstation.
  74. It allows users to organize ideas, facts, figures, and graphics to produce
  75. effective full-color presentations. Like DECwrite, it implements the CDA
  76. and NAS architecture, so that users can incorporate information from
  77. different systems over a network.

  94. To purchase DECwrite or DECpresent, the education customer must be a member
  95. of the Campuswide Software License Grant (CSLG) Program, and must have
  96. signed a CSLG Partner Program Addendum.  The CSLG Addendum defines some
  97. additional terms that will be covered by the license fee.

  99. PRICING/ORDERING INFORMATION

  101. DECwrite CSLG and DECpresent CSLG are orderable using the special "QP" part
  102. numbers listed below. The QP part number packages the licenses for all of
  103. the platforms that each product runs on, under one part number. These
  104. prices are non-discountable. (NOTE: Part numbers will be effective on the
  105. price file as of 1/17/92).

  120. discount. The remainder of the products already have QA part numbers
  121. available commercially.

  138. QUALIFICATIONS
  139.  
  140. The education institution shall qualify for the Education Initiative
  141. Program if the institution is non-profit and is lawfully operating either
  142. as an accredited college or university, a vocational, technical or trade
  143. school, a state or local school system, or an independent primary or
  144. secondary school exclusively for non-profit educational purposes. The
  145. institution includes only those majority owned non-profit subsidiaries that
  146. provide education and/or research. Majority owned is defined as greater
  147. than 50% ownership by the educational institution.

  149. Only qualified education institutions in the U.S. may participate in the
  150. Education Inititiave Program described in these guidelines.
