- Subject: Q: Motif licensing for new versions
- Lines: 19
-
- We took advantage of the free upgrade to Motif last year for our 6320.
- We now also have a VAXstation 4000 VLC running Motif. My question
- relates to the CSLG, or rather, the licensing of Motif. I know that
- Motif is not in the CSLG itself because of the fee that must be paid
- to the OSF (?), but are we allowed to upgrade to new versions free of
- charge, either through normal VMS licensing or by virtue of being a
- member of the CSLG? I seem to remember that the Motif cost was a
- one-time thing, but now that 1.1 is around the corner, I want to make
- sure that that's true.
-
- If it's not, do we have to purchase software support of some kind to
- get the right-to-new-versions?
-
- Thanks!
