- This kit can be recommended.
-
- You get the option to built either of three individuals, in five
- different guises: Orange all over, orange with white trim, white
- all over, white with metal wings and white with the newer canopy.
-
- I can't vouch for the correctness of the colour mixings suggested,
- but at least it looks like they've tried to get it right.
-
- The one thing can make trouble for you is the option to make half
- of the fuselage transparent. I choose to, and had two unsuccessful
- tries of getting a good joint between the different materials.
- Then comes the question of how much to leave unpainted. I painted
- the keel and spine, as well as the are under the wing, as you
- really have to paint the insides of the gear wells. I like the look
- of this, as it's different, but on second thought the detailing on
- the inside is a bit too sparse for it to be really effective.
- The cockpit's OK though.
-
- As usual, you have to cut away as much decal film as possible, that
- done, the result is OK.
-
- The instructions are very good, with detail sketches to show how
- you should paint the disc-brakes &c.
-
- The area around the nose pitot had to get some work to smooth it
- out, otherwise parts fit was good enough. No flash or sinkmarks.
