- About a week ago, I posted a message about HyperWriter. Since that time,
- I have received an upgrade to version 3.03. Frankly, although NTERGAID
- added some features, the program is just not finished. I have tried
- three different video drivers; none of them work. The mouse cursor seems
- to be schizophrenic: it changes colors and apparantly can XOR itself into
- an inverse image or just a random splotch. Buttons, etc. seem to press
- themselves.
-
- I spent considerable time creating some screens, only to have them
- disappear, but only 90% of the time.
-
- Hyperwriter redraws the screen FAR too much. Sometimes it redraws twice
- just because. Earlier versions were somewhat slow scrolling through large
- text blocks, but nothing truly aggrevating and only is certain rare cases.
- Version 3.03 is slow for ALL screen operations. Text is bad, but don't
- even consider graphics.
-
- I still like HyperWriter, but I'll continue to use the old version until
- I receive the Windows version. For those of you considering the purchase:
- don't, not yet.
