  12.   One work that you may wish to consult is Hypermedia and Literary Studies,
  13. edited by  George Landow.  I don't have my copy with me (It's been borrowed
  14. almosted the entired time I've owned it.) but I remember an article in it
  15. by a fellow who put the works of Lao Tzu into a hyperdocument.  He included
  16. other things, and generally made a nice "docuverse."

  18.   I've been doing the same thing with William Blake, although I'd hardly
  19. call his works linear -- at least not in the straight sense of the word.
  20. Making the translation is probably not as difficult as you might think.
  21. Some of the organization is bound to follow traditional hierarchical 
  22. patterns for the material, other parts can be added to the hierarchy
  23. rather easily.

  25.   I found that the most important thing to add was ALL of the original
  26. works that you want -- and I do mean --==*> ALL <*==--  In my case,
  27. that was everything that W.B. wrote.  Now, I am adding multiple versions
  28. of his works, critical works about his illuminated poems, biographical
  29. information, and I am creating a time-line as another spine in the docuverse.
  30. As the last part of my project, I am going to add various tours through
  31. the data -- for freshman literature students to deal with small works like
  32. "The Tiger" and "The Lamb," and for advanced students to deal with the 
  33. more difficult prophetic works.

  35.   I'd be interested in hearing from other people who are doing similar
  36. translations, not only with literary topics.  If anyone else is dealing
  37. with hypertext as a tool for literary pedagogy, I'm especially interested
  38. in hearing from you.
