  24. That's interesting; I just received a complaint last week about a 
  25. program named "shit".  It had been placed in the background, and 
  26. it required several hours of runtime.  I sent the owner of the pro-
  27. gram a note, explaining the complaints; I also mentioned that, while
  28. I didn't plan to "take any action", any further complaints would be
  29. directed to him.  In his reply, he apologized (he didn't realize that 
  30. other users could see his command names via ps) and changed the name 
  31. immediately.

  33. I wonder what would have happened if the original admins had simply
  34. asked the users of such language to refrain from doing so.  How do
  35. these people stand the monolithic approach?
