  4. REQUIRED MEMORY:

  6. You should have 570 KB (583680 bytes) of conventional memory with DOS
  7. in order to benefit from the game's entire potential.

  9. 550 KB (563200 octets) with DOS is sufficient to play the game with
  10. music and sound fx, but some cinematic scenes may be played without
  11. music (note that you still can continue to play the game).

  13. You still can play with only 513KB but without music and sound fx.
  14. Once again, some cinematic scenes may be played without music.

  16. With a minimum boot disk, you'll get :

  31. You should not run Flashback from Windows. It may work... but much
  32. slower than from DOS.

  35. JOYSTICK:

  37. If you don't have a joystick board, and you experienced that the
  38. menu didn't work properly, you should set the Joystick option to
  39. 'disactivate joystick' using the install program.

  41. If you have two different joystick ports on two different cards,
  42. (ie : sound card and multi IO card) you should disable one for
  43. the program to work properly.

  46. SOUND FX AND SPEED :

  48. Sound Blaster sound FX are less time consuming for the CPU than
  49. AdLib ones.

  51. If you have a slow machine and an AdLib board, you should set the
  52. Sound FX option to 'AdLib Slow Machine' using the install program
  53. (the sound quality is poorer but the game is smoother).

  55. Finally, if your machine is really slow, 'No Sound FX' option is
  56. recommended (the performance of your VGA board also determines
  57. the final speed of the game).
