- This page provides a column-formatted view of issues. The number and
- arrangement of the columns can be customized through the "Layout:" drop down
- list. Custom layouts can be defined by selecting the "New layout..." choice.
- The label for the drop down list, "Layout:", is a link to the modify layout page.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2> To
- change which issues are displayed use the "Filter:" drop down list. The
- predefined filters include one for each member of the project (open issues only), one to
- view all open issue, and one for all issues (open or closed). Custom filters can
- be defined by selecting the "New filter..." choice. The label for the drop down
- list, "Filter:", is a link to the modify filter page (note: predefined filters
- cannot be modified). </FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>To change which project's issues are displayed
- use the "Project:" drop down list. If you do not belong to a project you
- cannot view any issues from that project. The choice "All projects"
- consolidates all issues regardless of which project they belong too.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>The list of issues only shows a few at a
- time (configurable on the "Settings..." page). To facilitate navigation the
- count of issues and pages is positioned near the top right. </FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>To sort the list of issues click on the
- column headings. To sort a column in the reverse direction click its heading a
- second time. A down arrow or up arrow appears over the column the list
- is currently sorted by.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>The "Issue #"
- column display each issues identification number. Clicking on this number will
- display that issue's details. The check box to the left of the issue number is used to indicate which issues should be updated
- when the "Reassign" button is clicked. The "Reassign" button only becomes enabled when
- an issue has been selected. Issues that a user is
- not permitted to update cannot be reassigned; the check box appears grayed
- out.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>The "Resolution:", "Assign to:" and "Status:" drop
- down lists work with the "Reassign" button. Not all combinations are
- allowed according to the workflow rules. Assigning groups of issues to users from
- this page can save some time. </FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>At the bottom left, in the black area below the menu,
- there are three options available: 'Settings...', 'Download...' and 'Printer
- friendly...'. The "Settings..." choice allows each user to customize the number of
- issues per page and the defaults for project, filter and layout.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>The "Download..." option will create a comma
- separated file containing all the issues that match the current selection
- criteria (project and filter). The layout of the file is determined by the
- "Layout:" option. This CSV file can easily be imported into Microsoft Excel or
- Access for further manipulation.</FONT></P>
- <P><FONT class=box size=2>The "Printer
- friendly..." option will open a new page that displays a printer ready report of the issues
- that match the current selection criteria (project and filter). The report has been specially
- formatted to repeat page headings on each printed page. For best
- results adjust Internet Explorer's left and right print margins to 0.25 inches. To print the
- gray shading you must adjust Internet Explorer's settings (Tools ->
- Internet Options, select the "Advanced" tab, then under "Printing", check the
- "Print background colors and images" box).</FONT></P>
