Optional Command Line Argument
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can change Text View's command line to load a particular file on startup
if you wish. You might do this if for instance you have a list of items
that you often refer to.
1. In the Windows Program Manager, first create another copy of Text View:
Click (not double click) Text View's icon (the one that loads this file)
so its caption is highlighted, then choose the following:
File
Copy
Then choose the program group you wish to copy to.
2. Choose:
File
Properties...
Command line:
Change the file called CMDLINE.TXT to the file you wish Text View to load.
Command line syntax: TEXTVIEW [[drive:][path]filename]
Example: c:\textview.122\textview c:\txtfiles\maillist.txt
(This example assumes you have a directory named TXTFILES which
stores a file named MAILLIST.TXT.)
3. To change the caption on the new copy of Text View, choose:
