  1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
  2.  
  3. To run BootMe in DOS:
  4. Place a blank disk in your A: drive. Change to the BootMe directory and run
  5. bootme.exe. Follow the onscreen instructions, and BootMe will create a new
  6. configuration on your disk.  If BootMe encounters any errors with your 
  7. system, you will be given instructions on how to correct any problems. 
  8. When the program is finished, reboot your system with the disk in your A: 
  9. drive to use your new configuration.

  11. To run BootMe in Windows95:
  12. Place a blank disk in your A: drive. Locate the bootme.exe using your
  13. favorite file manager (ex. Explorer, File Manager), and double click on the
  14. bootme.exe. Follow the onscreen instructions, and BootMe will create a 
  15. new configuration on your disk. If BootMe encounters any errors with your
  16. system, you will be given instructions on how to correct any problems. When 
  17. the program is finished, you must shutdown and restart your computer with 
  18. the disk in your A: drive to use your new configuration.

  20. After you have made your boot disk and restart your computer, you will be 
  21. given four options:
  22.  
  23. Boot without Expanded Memory
  24. Boot with Expanded Memory
  25. Boot system without Memory Management
  26. DOS Protected Mode Games
  27.  
  28. Find the game you want to play, and boot the computer using the memory 
  29. configuration it is found under:

  70.                 are creating a boot disk for Mario, run BootMe by typing 
  71.                 `BOOTME NOMOUSE'. This will not load a mouse 
  72.         driver, and will free up memory the game will need.

  110. Management to see if something is conflicting.  Although this may not be 
  111. necessary, it is available if needed.

  120. TROUBLESHOOTING:
  121.  
  122. Q: After booting with my BootMe boot disk, I receive a 'low level driver 
  123.    error'.
  124. A: This is common on systems that use a SB16. BootMe removes two drivers 
  125.    that are primarily only used for editing sound files. Removal of these
  126.    drivers will cause this error to occur, but you will experience no 
  127.    problems because of this with any DOS based titles.
