- [drive:] The drive letter of the device driver.
- [/CHGDEV [ID LUN]] Changes the active SCSI ID/LUN pair to ID and
- LUN respectively.
- [/FLUSH] Flushes device driver's cache buffer onto the
- cartridge.
- [/LOCK [ON | OFF]] Locks or unlocks the drive door if the drive
- supports this feature.

- [/ERRORLOG [Stream]] Enables the device driver's error logging
- ability and directs the log to Stream,
- which can be one of the following: OFF,
- CON, PRN, COM1, or COM2. (DOS only)
- [/MOUNT [AREA:n BSC:n]] Manually mounts a cartridge. AREA is the
- reformat area to use for the mount, and
- BSC is the number of bad sectors to allow
- during the mount. n can be any positive
- integer. For the AREA case, 0 is the
- default value and causes the program to
- use the last reformat area. Selecting
- 1 will cause the program to use the first
- reformat area, 2 to use the second reformat
- area ....... and so on.

- [/CDUMP] Examines data at the physical sector level on an
- optical cartridge.
- [/RESET] Resets the SCSI bus.
- [/SCAN] Scans the SCSI bus for active connections.
- [/CTIME] Sets the internal time of the device driver (XT
- class machines only).
- [/DISMOUNT] Dismounts an optical cartridge.
- [/Log [filename]] Creates a log file for this session by the name
- filename. If filename is not specified,
- UTIL.LOG will be used.

- [/Quiet] Performs the command without keyboard inputs and screen outputs whenever possible.
- [/Help] Displays this help information.

- **** SCAN Output Help ****
- This screen displays the scanned information returned by the SCSI
- Devices. They have the following meaning:
- OK = Device Is Ready
- 02 = Device Is Not Ready
- 03 = Medium Failure (cartridge probably not formatted)
- 05 = No LUN Is Detected
- 06 = Device Is Not Ready
- FF = Device Does Not Respond
- XX = Not Scanned
- The Vendor Information section gives additional information
- concerning the responded SCSI devices. PageUp and PageDn to
- view this section if more than three devices responded.

- Select one of the options shown.
- CHGDEV allows the user to change the currently active SCSI ID/LUN
- pair to other new values.
- CDUMP allows the user to examine data at the physical sector level on
- an optical cartridge.
- CTIME sets the internal time of the device drivers so that history
- markers can be written properly with the correct date and time. This
- command is only required for XT class machines.
- DISMOUNT logically dismounts an optical cartridge.
- ERRORLOG turns on or off the device driver's error logging ability.

- FLUSH flushes device driver's cache buffer onto the cartridge.
- LOCK locks and unlocks the drive door.
- MOUNT performs a manual mount on cartridges. It is normally used by
- advanced user to mount damaged cartridges.
- RESET resets the SCSI bus.
- SCAN scans the SCSI bus for active connections.
- Generate Log File creates a log file for this session. All program
- outputs will be directed to this log file in addition to the screen.
- EXIT exits the program.

- **** Create Log File Help ****
- Select this option to create a log file for this session. After this
- option has been selected, all the information shown on the screen will
- be put into a log file of your choice.
- The log file will be written to the directory you are working in unless
- a full path is supplied.
- Selecting the Disable Log File option disables this feature.

- Select the drive letter of the device for
- the chosen command to act upon.

- Select one of the options shown.
- Disable Error Logging turns off the error logging feature.
- Enable Error Logging To Console enables the error logging feature and directs the log output to the console.
- Enable Error Logging To Printer enables the error logging feature and directs the log output to the PRN device.
- Enable Error Logging To COM1 enables the error logging feature and directs the log output to the COM1 port.
- Enable Error Logging To COM2 enables the error logging feature and directs the log output to the COM2 port.

- Enter the new SCSI ID and LUN you would like to change to.
- Valid SCSI ID and LUN range from values 0 to 7. When
- finished, hit <F10> to execute the command.

- Enter the required parameter in each field. When finished, hit
- <F10> to start the Mount operation.
- When you are uncertain what to enter for a parameter field, typing
- a 0 (zero) in that field will cause the program to use the default.

- LOCK locks the drive door if the drive supports this feature.
- UNLOCK unlocks a previously locked drive.

- PageUp and PageDn to view the sector data.
- If satisfied with the sector data, hit F10 to start the write
- operation. Otherwise, position the cursor on the data to be
- modified and hit <ENTER> to start the modify operation.
