  1. MARS128.SYS

  3. You use the MARS128.SYS scanner driver with the Marstek 128 
  4. hand scanner with the standard size card. You get better scanning 
  5. results with the Marstek 128 if you have EMS.
  6.  
  7. If you have the Marstek 128 scanner and a small card, use 
  8. the MARSTEK.SYS scanner driver.
  9.  
  10. The Marstek 128 is not entirely programmable from the 
  11. program. You can set brightness and select a halftone 
  12. on the scanner.
  13.  
  14. To manually add the device driver to your CONFIG.SYS, use a text 
  15. editor to type the entry as it appears below. Be sure to 
  16. include a path if the scanner driver is not in your root directory. 
  17. Remember to include additional parameters when necessary.

  19. CONFIG.SYS entry:

  23. This scanner only uses port address 200H (200 hexadecimal).

  25. Available options for this scanner and the parameters you 
  26. should add to your CONFIG.SYS:

  28. DMA Channel 1   Add the parameter /C1 to your CONFIG.SYS.
  29. DMA Channel 3   The default. Add the parameter /C3 to your CONFIG.SYS.

  31. Settings supported by this scanner:

  33. Brightness     Set on scanner
  34. Contrast       Not supported by scanner
  35. Colors         B&W only
  36. Halftones      Set on scanner
  37. Resolutions    400x400, 300x300, 200x200
  38.                Must be set on the scanner and within the program.
