  3. You use the G4500.SYS scanner driver with the Genius 4500
  4. scanner.
  5.  
  6. To add the device driver to your CONFIG.SYS, use a text 
  7. editor to type the entry as it appears below. Be sure to 
  8. include a path if the scanner driver is not in your root directory. 
  9. Remember to include additional parameters when necessary.

  11. CONFIG.SYS entry:

  15. This scanner only uses port address 272H (272 hexadecimal).

  17. Available DMA Channels and the parameters you should add to your
  18. CONFIG.SYS:

  20. DMA Channel 1   The default for this scanner. Add the parameter
  21.                 /C1 to your CONFIG.SYS.
  22. DMA Channel 3   Add the parameter /C3 to your CONFIG.SYS.

  24. Settings supported by this scanner:

  26. Brightness     Set on scanner only
  27. Contrast       Not supported
  28. Colors         B&W only
  29. Halftones      Set on scanner only
  30. Resolutions    400x400, 300x300, 200x200, 100x100
  31.                Must be set on the scanner and within the program.
