  12. This version of DLD386Deluxe-VGA only supports the Diamond SpeedStar 24X
  13. graphics board. Support for any other EGA, VGA, 8514/A, TIGA, or S3
  14. graphics board may be obtained directly from Panacea Inc. Please see the
  15. end of this file for more details.

  17. This driver uses the hardware BITBLT function of the WD90C31 to accelerate
  18. AutoCAD. The hardware BITBLT is used for screen clears, drawing rectangles,
  19. and scrolling the AutoCAD command prompt area.

  22. Known Bugs:
  23. ===========
  24.  
  25. 1. This driver does not currently support rendering in AutoShade or 3D 
  26. Studio.
  27.  
  28. 2. The DLDCOLOR CustomColor utility is not currently included. You may
  29. customize your AutoCAD screen colors by using a DLDCOLOR.DAT file created
  30. by an earlier version of any Panacea DLD driver.

  33. Configuring AutoCAD
  34. ===================
  35.  
  36. Remember, in order to use DLD386Deluxe-VGA, you must configure AutoCAD 
  37. to use a P386 ADI display driver. This is done by selecting 
  38. item #5 "Configure AutoCAD" from main menu, then select #3 
  39. "Configure Video Display", and then select #1 "P386 ADI".

  42. Products Supported:

  45. This version of DLD386Deluxe-VGA supports AutoCAD R10/386, R11/386, R12/386,
  46. AutoShade 2.0 w/Renderman, and 3D Studio v1.X/2.0.

  49. AutoCAD Release 12 Support
  50. ==========================
  51.  
  52. This driver supports AutoCAD Release 12. However, because this driver is
  53. an ADI 4.1 driver, it will not support AVE Render. You cannot render to
  54. a viewport with R12. Please call (603-437-5022) or fax (603-434-2461)
  55. Panacea technical support for upgrade information.

  57. You have to perform a few steps by hand to run with R12.
  58.  
  59.         1. Add the directory you installed the DLD software to your
  60.            ACADDRV environment variable.
  61.  
  62.            For example,
  63.  
  64.            set ACADDRV=c:\acad\drv;c:\dld386;
  65.  
  66.            This example assumes that R12 is installed in C:\ACAD and 
  67.            DLD386Deluxe-VGA is installed in C:\DLD386.

  69.         2. Configure DLD386Deluxe-VGA just like you would for R11.
  70.  
  71.         3. Start R12 and reconfigure the display device to use DLD386 
  72.            by Panacea Inc.

  78. This driver supports 3D Studio Release 2.

  106. Our DLD Classic line of AutoCAD display list drivers have become a
  107. virtual industry standard.

  110. DLD Classic real mode ADI 4.0 drivers are available for EGA, VGA, 8514/A, 
  111. TIGA, and XGA graphics platforms, and support AutoCAD R10, R10/386, R11,
  112. AutoShade 1.X, and AutoSketch.

  114. DLD386 Classic are protected mode drivers geared specifically 
  115. towards users of AutoCAD 386/R11, and are available for
  116. the same five graphics platforms that the real mode DLD products
  117. support. DLD386 drivers are protected-mode P386 ADI 4.1 drivers
  118. that run in 80386 protected mode, and provide a sizeable
  119. performance improvement in the operation of AutoCAD 386's
  120. REDRAWs, PANs, and ZOOMs. They also support AutoShade 2.0 with
  121. RenderMan and 3D Studio. In addition, VGA boards with the Sierra
  122. HiColor RAM/DAC can render at a near true color 32,768 colors.

  148. ==========

  150. If you use AutoShade 2.0 or 3D Studio, you know that your display options
  151. are rather limited.
  152.  
  153. But, with Panacea's new PanaRender driver, you can get the most out of 
  154. your graphics card and 3D Studio and AutoShade 2 w/RenderMan.

  156. PanaRender lets you render in a vivid 256 colors, at any resolution your
  157. graphics board supports. PanaRender will even support some boards with
  158. 32,768 colors!

  166. Don't settle for 320x200 resolution in Animator Pro. PanaMate is your 
  167. resolution solution. It supports the highest resolution available on your
  168. graphics board to let you get the most out of Animator Pro. PanaMate
