  1.    The syntax of this command is:

  3.    NET PAUSE {DRDR | PRDR}

  5.    NET PAUSE temporarily suspends connections to shared resources.
  6.  
  7.      DRDR  (Disk redirection) Pauses all connections to shared directories.
  8.            This has the effect of putting a workstation on hold.
  9.  
  10.      PRDR  (Printer redirection) Pauses all connections to shared printers.
  11.  
  12.    Pausing network connections frees devicenames (such as Z: for directories
  13.    or LPT1: for printers) for local use on your computer. Local connections
  14.    are suspended when you pause network connections.
