- as well. If you choose to show footnotes, your footnote comparisons will
- appear at the end of the output document. In either case, the actual
- footnotes will still appear, unchanged, in the body of the output document.
- *M_SKIP
- If you want CompareRite to skip a section of text, specify the character pair
- that surrounds the text to be skipped. These character pairs must
- be put at the beginning and end of each section you wish to skip, and not
- otherwise used in the document.
- *PREF
- Select your word processor or make changes to other
- basic selections that you see on this screen.
- Use your arrow or tab keys to move among the buttons.
- Press ENTER to select a button.
- *P_WPIN
- Select the the word processor you want to use for your Original document.
- *P_WPOUT
- Select the word processor you want to use for your Revised document
- and your Redline output document.
- *P_DESCPG
- Indicate whether your redlined document printout should contain a cover
- page describing the appearance of additions and deletions and providing
- you with the name of the comparison file.
- *P_REVLIS
- Indicate whether your redlined document printout should contain a revision
- list of the changes found, identified by page and paragraph numbers from the
- original and revised documents.
- *P_WP_OPTIONS
- Select WP OPTIONS to change specific options for your Revised
- and Redline word processor.
- *P_WP_WP
- These options are for WordPerfect (all supported versions).
- *P_WP_WP_A_RED
- Select whether you want to redline mark additions. In WordPerfect 4.2, this
- places change bars in the margin of any line which contains added text.
- This is in addition to any printout format you select in the ADDITIONS
- menu, such as underlining.
- *P_WP_WP_D_RED
- Select whether you want to redline mark deletions. In WordPerfect 4.2, this
- places change bars in the margin of any line which contains deleted text.
- This is in addition to any printout format you select in the DELETIONS
- menu, such as underlining.
- *P_WP_WS
- These options are for WordStar.
- *P_WP_WS_RTMARGIN
- Type in the right margin for your redlined draft, in case you don't
- include a .RM or .RR command in your documents.
- Choose any value between 1 and 255; 65 or 80 is generally recommended.
- *P_WP_MW
- These options are for Microsoft Word for DOS (through version 5.0).
- *P_WP_MW_A_FONT
- Type in the font you want to use to display additions (or 0 if you don't want
- to change fonts). Use the following table as a guide:

- If you want to precede each addition by a string of characters, define the
- characters here.
- *P_WP_ASCII_E_UD1
- If you want to follow each addition with a string of characters, define the

- If you want to precede each deletion by a string of characters, define the

- *RET_MENU
- This either returns you to the main menu, or if you did not specify an
