  23. Cyberstreet is a demonstration program written in a few days using
  24. the RenderWare interactive 3D API. 
  25.  
  26. Absolute minimum configuration:     486/25 ISA with 8Mb.
  27. Recommended minimum configuration:  486/50 VLB with 8Mb.
  28. Super turbo nutter configuration:   Pentium/90 PCI with 16Mb.

  30. Installation

  33. 1. WinG Installation:
  34.  
  35. Wincybst.exe uses WinG from Microsoft.  If you do not have
  36. WinG installed on your machine, please install it before you
  37. begin.
  38.  
  39. Run the WinG installation program 'setup.exe' from Windows.
  40. Note:
  41. (a) the first time any application uses WinG, your machine
  42. will be profiled... this takes a few minutes.  This will
  43. not occur again, unless you change your video card or the
  44. screen resolution.
  45. (b) WinG works best in 256 color mode. Make sure Windows is
  46. set to 256 color mode before running Wincybst.exe.

  49. The Game
  50. --------

  52. In this game demonstration your mission is to destroy as many rats as
  53. possible. To do this you must move around the street, and point your
  54. gun so as a rat is within your sights, then fire the gun and destroy
  55. the rat. You must destroy the rats as quickly as you can. When there are no
  56. rats left the game is complete. The rats enter the game at a fixed speed,
  57. so speed is of the essence.

  59. The Application Controls
  60. ------------------------

  62. RWCYBER.EXE is controlled using the keyboard, the mouse and the
  63. menus. The controls for the application are as follows:

  65. Menus:
  66.  
  67. 1) File|Exit quits the demo
  68. 2) Option|detail toggles between high detail resolution and low detail
  69. resolution.

  71. Mouse & Keyboard:
  72.  
  73. 1) Holding the left mouse button down and pushing the mouse 'forward' (from
  74. the bottom of the mouse mat to the top of the mouse mat) will move your
  75. character forward.
  76.  
  77. 2) Holding the left mouse button down and pulling the mouse 'backward' (from
  78. the top of the mouse mat to the bottom of the mouse mat) will move your
  79. character backwards.

  81. 3) Holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse 'right' (from the
  82. left of the mouse mat to the right of the mouse mat) will turn your character
  83. right.
  84.  
  85. 4) Holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse 'left' ( from the
  86. right of the mouse mat to the left of the mouse mat) will turn your character
  87. left.

  89. 5) When you are in the street you may fire the gun to shoot the rats. To do
  90. this hold down the right mouse button. The rats take 4 hits to be killed. They
  91. will only take a hit if their body is in the centre of the sight. The sight
  92. changes shape if the rat will be hit by a shot.

  94. 6) To fly around the street in 'demo' mode press 'F' (for fly). Just click on
  95. the mouse button to leave this mode.

  97. 7) Holding the left Shift key down and the left mouse button down, whilst
  98. moving the mouse will change the direction of view for your character.

  100. 8) Holding the left Ctrl (Control) key down and the left mouse button down,
  101. whilst moving the mouse forward or backward will raise or lower your
  102. character.

  104. 9) There is a secret room, which can be found by going through one of the
  105. doors.
