- ║ (e.g. 2/14/1987) or in the format ║
- ║ mm/dd/yy (e.g. 7/30/87) ║
- ║ CALCULATION hold numbers or dates that are ║
- ║ calculated from values in other fields ║
- ║ within the same record. ║
- ║ SUMMARY hold numbers that are TOTALS, AVERAGES, ║
- ║ or COUNTS of data in another field, ║
- ║ across a group of records ║
- ║ TIME hold times in the format hh:mm:ss(a)(m) ║
- ║ (e.g. 1:30:00pm or 13:30:00) ║

- ║ for ensuring the validity of the data in a field. ║

- ║ To copy a word from the index into the current field: ║
- ║ 1. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the ║
- ║ desired word. ║

- ║ To change the validation criteria, select VALIDATE from ║
- ║ the Define screen. ║
- ║ ║
- ║ To copy an item from the list of valid field values, ║
- ║ move the cursor next to the item, then press ──┘. ║

- ║ Note: Nutshell Plus II now allows an item of 60 ║
- ║ characters to be copied from the validation ║
- ║ list. Also accented characters used in non ║
- ║ English languages are now supported. ║

- ║ To return to typing data without copying from the list, ║
- ║ press the Esc key after returning from Help. ║

- ║ criteria that are defined for this field. ║

- ║ To keep the invalid data in this field, select OVERRIDE. ║

- ║ then find all the records with invalid data by selecting ║

- ║ Using Import From File you can add data from DOS files ║
- ║ directly into NUTSHELL PLUS II. The fields on the Layout║

- ║ Note that you cannot import data into Calculation or ║
- ║ Summary fields; NUTSHELL calculates these values for you.║

- ║ 2. Choose from the list of available options, or type ║
- ║ the desired value. Then press the ──┘ key. For ║

- ║ PRINT to print the records you were browsing ║
- ║ RESUME PRINTING to print starting at a specific record ║

- ║ PRINTER MODEL Select the printer model you are using ║
- ║ CHARACTER Select the characters per horizontal inch ║
- ║ SPACING that you want your printer to print ║
- ║ LINE SPACING Select the spacing between the lines ║
- ║ PAPER LENGTH Type the number of lines that fit on your ║
- ║ paper. Use 66 lines for 11 inch paper ║
- ║ PAUSE BETWEEN Select YES for single sheet, or NO for ║
- ║ PAGES continuous feed paper ║
- ║ NUMBER OF Type the number of labels across the page ║
- ║ LABELS for multi-column labels. Otherwise type 1 ║
- ║ LABEL WIDTH Type the number of characters from the ║
- ║ start of one label to the next ║
