- NetTest is a program which excercises network messaging services. It is
- designed for point to point testing between two nodes at a time. One side of
- the connection must act as the sender, and the other must act as the receiver.
- Specify /r (or -r) on the command line for the receiving side. Type
- NetTest /? for help on the two other options.
-
- By default NetTest will check for the presence of Advanced NetWare and NetBIOS
- (or a NetBIOS emulator). If Adv. NetWare is present, it will test message pipe
- services, and then IPX and SPX services. If NetBIOS is present, it will then
- test datagram and session services. There are command line options available to
- force NetTest to perform only either the NetBIOS or the NetWare test (NetTest
- /B forces NetBIOS only and NetTest /N forces Advanced NetWare only).
-
- This program was written for testing purposes. It was never meant for public
- distribution. If there is suffucient interest, I can make it a more
- comprehensive network exerciser and put it on the public domain. Let me know if
- you think that would be useful.
