  19. InfoSpy is a general purpose Windows environment viewer allowing you view
  20. Heap, Tasks, Windows, Classes, Modules, File Handles, DOS and Memory
  21. Information.  You can trace messages, stack and set up automatic timers
  22. to provide real-time tracing on virtually every aspect of Windows.

  24. The new System Sentry library lets you monitor Windows program usage, control
  25. what Windows programs can be executed, disallow users from running programs,
  26. disable the CTRL-ALT-DEL keys under Windows, and disable entire directories.

  28. InfoSpy has been updated to run under Windows 95. Still a 16 app but ALL
  29. functions work and provide accurate information for the Win95 environment!!

  31. InfoSpy has full task scheduling capability allowing you to schedule the
  32. execution of programs, Windows shutdown, Windows Restart, System Warmboot
  33. & Coldboot and the termination of any task.

  35. The Screen Capture Utility allows you to capture the entire desktop, a
  36. specific window or cut a portion of the screen to the clipboard. You can
  37. save the captured image as a bitmap too.

  39. The DLL search utility will examine any local or network drive for all
  40. programs that reference DLLs in order to provide a list of unreferenced
  41. DLLs. In addition, all duplicate DLLs are displayed with an option to
  42. delete the duplicates.

  44. The ICON search will examine any file, directory or drive for files
  45. containing ICONS and will list them (and draw them) in a convenient list.

  66. To Install:   From Program Manager Run SETUP.EXE that comes on the InfoSpy
  67.               diskette or is in the InfoSpy unzipped directory.
  68.               -You will be asked to Confirm your SOURCE directory.
  69.               -You will be asked to Confirm or change the InfoSpy Destination.
  70.               -You can customize the initial libraries and the INI path.
  71.  
  72.       InfoSpy will require 1.3 megabyte on your hard drive
  73.       and there are no memory or configuration requirements.

  75. To Uninstall:
  76.               From Program Manager Run SETUP.EXE that comes on the InfoSpy

  114.    screen that appears when starting the unregistered version as well as
  115.    the word <unregistered> generously placed througout the program. The

  125.  1. NEW function: Version Search. Searches local and Remote drives looking for
  126.     programs, modules and drivers that contain version information from their
  127.     manufacturer. Sorts by name and lets you look for programs from a specific
  128.     company, ie: Microsoft.
  129.  2. Added code to extract file version for all lists that shows EXE or DLL
  130.     files. If there is no version information then ??.??.?.? is shown.  This
  131.     works for 16&32bit files.

  148.     Information' option by showing true Windows 3.1x/95/NT version as well as

  154. 1. Correct bug where paragraph marker (hex 20) was being put in logs instead of
  155.    space character.
  156. 2. Updated AutoLog function dialog to have the option of auto-starting when
  157.    InfoSpy starts. Added code to InfoSpy startup procedure to look for this
  158.    new flag.
  159. 3. Updated Autolog options to allow for DOS memory level to be written to the
  160.    log.  Added code to timer event to compare and store DOS memory level.
  161. 4. Corrected Memory leak in DOS memory calculation, was leading to lockups and
  162.    GPFs.
  163. 5. Corrected Pointer allocation problem with the alarms, may have caused GPFs
  164.    during InfoSpy startup.
  165. 6. Added MAPI email support to the Main Menu, Tech Dump and Log Viewer. You can
  166.    send any InfoSpy info to any other MAPI email connected user. This function
  167.    supports MAPI in Win 3.1x and Windows 95.
  168. 7. Corrected several menu problems where menu items werent showing correct
  169.    state.
  170. 8. Enabled the browse button on the Autolog form.
  171. 9. Added a DIRECTORY DISK UTILIZATION utility under the SYSTEM menu. This
  172.    utility quickly scans your local or netowrk disk and presents you with a
  173.    list of all directories, their total disk size in kb and the percentage of
  174.    the total disk that they occupy.  All subdirectories and also enumerated.
  175. 10. Corrected pointer bug while pulling NETWARE user id's. THis will prevent
  176.     garbage in the user id.
  177. 11. Corrected module allocation bug by manually unloading the INFTKDLL.DLL
  178.    module like other modules.
  179. 12. Updated the SETUP program: Removed option to start InfoSpy at end of
  180.     installation. Turned off the option to install our CTRL-ALT-DEL disabling
  181.     driver automatically, now has to be selected by user.

  197. essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer

  199. incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products. If you
  200. find this program useful and find that you are using InfoSpy and
  201. continue to use InfoSpy after a reasonable trial period, you must

  222. immediately (However Dean Software Design must still be advised so that
  223. the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of InfoSpy).
