  3. Trans64 is a program to transfer files between the PC and a  C64 floppydrive.
  4. The floppy is  connected with a simple  cable to the  parallelport of the PC.
  5. You  can  transfer  files among  virtual disks,  virtual tapes,  dos and  the
  6. floppydrive.  Also you  can  transfer  whole disks if a 1541, 1570 or 1571 is
  7. connected.  You can  use fast transferroutines for  the filetransfer.  So you
  8. can transfer a whole disk in 2 1/2 minutes to the PC and in 6 1/2 from the PC
  9. to the floppy.  With normal  speed  you will need 8 minutes to read the whole
  10. disk  and 13 1/2 minutes to write the  whole disk.
  11. The  cable used for the connection is either the cable used  by X1541  or the
  12. cable used  by  Disk64E.  To build the cable read the section 'cable' of  the
  13. online-help.
  14. If you have already built a cable  connect the floppy to the PC and switch it
  15. on before you start the program. So the program will automatically detect the
  16. cable and floppydrive connected with the PC.  Otherwise select the  menupoint
  17. 'configuration' and select your setup.
