<p class="Paragraph">We will show you later how you to deal with all the functions possible in OpenOffice.org (including self-writing macros) to connect a function as an icon in an icon toolbar.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">We use the example of an "icon for faxing the current document" to give you a comprehensive explanation of the basic steps needed. Many, but not all, of the functions we choose can be inserted through the context menu of an icon toolbar quicker and easier. For the fax icon you will find instructions for quick insertion under the title "<help:link Id="68013" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Sending Faxes and Configuring OpenOffice.org for Faxing</help:link>".</p>

<p class="P2">Open the context menu of the function toolbar and select the <span class="T1">Edit</span> command.</p>

<p class="P2">Select the <span class="T1">Send Standard Fax</span> function in the <span class="T1">Documents</span> function area in the dialog.</p>

<p class="P2">If no appropriate icon is displayed for this function, click <span class="T1">Icons...</span> to view a wide selection of buttons. Confirm your choice with <span class="T1">OK</span>.</p>

<p class="P2">Now, drag the desired icon from the dialog to the Function bar, and release the mouse button where you want the new icon to be positioned. Close the dialog.</p>
